Insight Test Labs has been authorized by the USB-IF (USB Implementers Forum) to become an official USB certification testing laboratory (USB Independent Test Lab). Now we can offer complete USB and USB Power Delivery (USB PD) compliance testing and professional consulting to help your USB products obtain USB logo.
Universal Serial Bus (USB) is one of the most common and widespread interfaces in consumer electronics, initially proposed in late 1994 by companies such as Intel, Compaq, IBM, Microsoft, and NEC. To this day, USB remains widely used for data transfer and charging in various types of USB interfaces. Moreover, the European Union's policy to standardize USB Type-C (USB-C) as a single charging interface, will also make more products are expected to adopt USB-C interface.
USB4 (USB 4 Version 2.0), the latest technical specification released by the USB-IF, is backward compatible with all previous USB standards and supports charging, with a maximum data transfer rate of 80Gbps. Notably, USB4, which uses a single USB-C interface, also integrates Intel's Thunderbolt specification and is compatible with Thunderbolt 4 and Thunderbolt 5. For USB Power Delivery (USB PD), the latest version is USB PD 3.2, which increases the maximum charging power to 240W and supports up to 48V output.
Compared to other interfaces, the technical specifications and certification testing standards of USB are relatively complex. With certified USB test engineers and a seasoned professional USB technical team, Insight Test Labs can provide electrical validation for USB4, USB Power Delivery certification testing, USB Type-C functional testing, and USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 certification testing for systems and peripheral devices equipped with USB interfaces.
