This service ensures that your products comply with the USB-IF Specification (IEC 62680), USB Power Delivery, and USB Type-C® specifications, in support of facilitating successful entry into the European Union market.
In response to the EU DIRECTIVE , starting from December 28, 2024, electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, digital cameras, and headphones must adopt a unified USB Type-C charging connector and comply with USB-IF USB Specification in order to be sold within the European Union. Start with Understanding IEC 62680.” This August, USB-IF officially launched the "USB-IF EU Conformity to USB Specificaitons (IEC 62680) program". The product which achieves this EU Conformity status indicates that it meets the EU DIRECTIVE (EU) as defined in the USB Specifications (IEC 62680).
