Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) has announced that Insight Test Labs is now an officially authorized DisplayPort® (DP) Test Center. Insight Test Labs can do certification testing services for various DisplayPort products, enabling them to obtain certification marks. Additionally, Insight Test Labs offers professional technical consultations related to DP technology and all DP compliance updates.
DisplayPort interface introduced in 2006, is an open standardized digital display interface specification proposed by VESA. It is used for transmitting video and audio signals between computers, monitors, televisions, and other devices. Initially developed to replace traditional interfaces like VGA, DVI, and FPD-Link (LVDS), DisplayPort technology offers better resolution, audio quality, and higher bandwidth. Fow now, the latest specification is DP 2.1, it supports a single-channel interface bandwidth of up to 20Gbps and resolutions up to 16K at 60Hz. DisplayPort is widely used in desktop, laptop, monitor, adapter, and cable. Obviously, DisplayPort is one of the most common audio-visual transmission interfaces in the market.
