Insight Test Labs recently partnered with Intel to conduct compliance testing for DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 on Intel’s upcoming next-generation platform, codenamed Panther Lake (PTL). All test results met the standards defined by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) and the HDMI Forum, confirming that the platform is ready for next-generation display technologies and industry compliance.
With extensive testing expertise and long-standing collaboration in the electronic industry, Insight Test Labs was invited to join the early validation prior to the public release of the upcoming Intel silicon. The team tested new display output technologies and completed all key tests within a limited timeframe. This included DisplayPort 2.1 Ultra-High Bit Rate (UHBR), Multi-Stream Transport, and HDMI 2.1 Fixed Rate Link (FRL) with fallback mechanisms. Additional validations covered DSC, OVT, EDID, HDCP, clock frequency stability, and protocol integrity.
“We are honored to contribute to the pre-launch validation of Intel’s Panther Lake platform,” said Jerry Sung, Technical Director at Insight Test Labs. “Ensuring compliance with the latest display interface standards not only strengthens the platform’s stability but also demonstrates the industry's shared commitment to product quality and innovation.”
