Five New Physical Layer (Electrical) Tests<br \/><\/strong>To address the ultra-high bandwidth of FRL 16 \/ 20 \/ 24 Gbps, the latest Source CTS 2.2 adds five physical layer tests to verify the stability and quality of high-speed signals at the underlying circuit level:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<h3>HFB1-1\uff1aDC Common Mode Voltage for 16, 20, 24 Gbps FRL Rates<br \/>Verifies whether the DC bias of each data lane at TP1 complies with the standard.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>HFB1-2\uff1aVSE_Max, VSE_min for 16, 20, 24 Gbps FRL Rates<br \/>Measures the maximum and minimum single-ended signal voltages for each data lane at TP1.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>HFB1-3\uff1aSlew Rate for 16, 20, 24 Gbps FRL Rates<br \/>Evaluates the voltage change rate (Slew rate) of the FRL transmitter during signal rise and fall.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>HFB1-5\uff1aFRL Rates Above 12 Gbps<br \/>Measures the signal frequency or data rate at TP1 to confirm it meets the standard rate accuracy requirements for FRL.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>HFB1-8\uff1aAC Common Mode Noise for 16, 20, 24 Gbps FRL Rates<br \/>Verifies that the transmitter's AC common-mode noise is controlled within specified limits to mitigate Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) risks.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Note: The HDMI Forum will continue to expand test items for FRL 16 \/ 20 \/ 24 Gbps in the future, including Eye Diagram verification, Jitter testing, and FFE Monotonicity tests.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>3.
